More than ever before it is crucial that we put a new emphasis on learning the Word of God. The Psalmist said, “I will hide his Word in my heart that I might not sin against God.” This is a season in the earth where God’s word is being denigrated, belittled, and nearly forgotten. We have new emerging generations of children who barely know the basic Bible stories, much less memorized important scriptures. We need to do what we can to bring attention to Scriptures in every children’s service, as well as in our homes.

Above everything else a knowledge of God’s Word is what we as Christians base our faith on. Without it our Christianity is just made up of our own opinions. Our kids need more that a basic familiarity with Bible stories. They must be trained to love to read the Bible outside of church, at home, as a part of their lifestyles.
