Africa, Here We Come!
This will put a big ole smile on your face. It’s fun African dance put together and performed by one of my team leaders, Lynn Cross, and her kids group in preparation for Lynn’s trip to Africa. We have two leaders who will be leaving for Africa very soon, Pamela Ayres, our international ambassador who overseas all of the African leaders and PowerClubs, and one of our newest leaders Lynn Cross, soon to be placed in as Director of New Hampshire. Lynn, who is both a children’s pastor and a dance and flag and banner leaders put this together. Pray for them as they scoot all over Africa from Zambia to Kenya encouraging our African KIMI directors and PowerClub leaders. Think of them while you watch this delightful performance.

A Brand New Director for Kids in Ministry Ghana
I have some happy news. This has been a long time coming as I have known Pastor Francis Opoku from Ghana, West Africa since about 2009, maybe earlier. This is a man whom I (founder and director of Kids in Ministry International, have grown to respect mightily as I have watched his life and ministry over the years.
Francis became a PowerClub coordinator in about 2010, and a graduate of our School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry in 2014. He has been involved in all kinds of ministry to children and has been very busy with other things. That’s why I never asked him any sooner.
But I want to announce that I have asked Pastor Francis to be our director in the new KIMI Ghana, and he has excepted. He has already been doing the job of a director, so this is just giving him the title. He holds PowerClub trainings, establishes PowerClubs, spreads the word about KIMI, and trains people in SSCM. We love you very much, Pastor Francis. Welcome to the KIMI family. Visit KIMI Ghana’s page to learn more.
I want you to meet my very first godly, spiritual mentor (outside of my parents) that I believe God put in my life. Her name was Violet Nichols. We called her “Sister Vi.” Sister Vi worked for J.C. Penney’s as a sales clerk. She had been divorced three times, and, let’s just say, she really needed Jesus in her life. One of the faithful members of our church who worked with her timidly invited her to church one day, and much to everyone’s surprise she got saved! To read how she influenced my life and my ministry, go here.
One of histories best kept secrets was an unusual wave of child and teen preachers in the 1940s and 50s in the USA. Over 400 of such children have been documented. Many of them had large itinerant ministries as evangelists and faith healers. What does this mean as we consider the potential of children being partners with God to walk His supernatural power today? To read the full article, go here.
My observation has been that Christian musicians don’t want to “waste” their time with kids worship, because the perception is it’s all “kiddie” stuff. It’s all like “Father Abraham” and what you might find in a preschool Sunday School class. The truth is, kids can go deep in worship—sometimes deeper than adults. Musicians don’t have to sacrifice the presence of God at all by using their gifts with kids. To read more click here.
This is a Generation of Seers
I’ve been ministering to children off and on since the early 80s. My non-scientific, personal experience is that the children in the last 10-15 are the most spiritually intuitive that I’ve ever seen–both Christian and non-Christian. I base that on what I hear from them and their parents as per their spiritual experiences. I have long held this is a generation of “seers.” To read more click here.
“The Lord will also anoint CHILDREN to work special miracles. The healing of AIDS will be especially pronounced on the African continent as God will raise up powerful evangelists from the CHILDREN who will partner will the Holy Spirit and God’s angels to release mighty miracles and revivals to whole groups, tribes, and nations. God will use many women and CHILDREN to spark outpourings in China. Women and CHILDREN will also be used in this manner in Afghanistan and throughout the middle East to bring similar revivals.” ~Kevin Basconi, Dancing With Angels 2.
