I have an urgent message in my heart concerning the state of children’s ministry today. I want to believe that things are getting better, but after serving for four months in my local church, I’ve discovered many disheartening issues. So I felt compelled to create this new prophetic video. Technically, it’s now a part of our School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry. But I feel that the content is so urgent I believe everyone needs to hear it whether they ever go through our school or not!

Children’s ministry has undergone massive changes over the last few decades—some for the better, but many that pose serious spiritual concerns. In this session from the School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry, we take an honest look at the cultural shifts impacting today’s kids, churches, and ministry leaders. The average children’s pastor now stays in their role for just one to two years, creating instability that leaves kids without consistent spiritual leadership. Even more alarming is that only 12% of children’s and youth pastors reportedly have a biblical worldview.

    Thank you for sharing. I’m the children’s church director at my church and I always feel like I’m supposed to entertain the kids and I really just want to disciple them. It’s difficult to get them to sit still and participate in a lesson. It’s just so different then in my day (the 80’s).     That’s so powerful and so true. Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I just started as the kid’s director as our church and am definitely BLESSED to serve with a senior pastor who believes in the importance of kid’s ministry.

    This video helped me make an outline for what my vision is for them, so I can actually see it and pray through it. I’ve been writing our own curriculum for the past three months because I didn’t think the mainstream curricula were deep enough for them or taught basic truths of experiencing God.

    They’ve started learning how to hear God speak to them. I’ve already seen them grow in hunger for the Word. But I love having this outline as I plan the rest of the year and set up my future here because I know there’s a lot more to implement.

    I’m also blessed to have been trained under Ms. Connie McKenzie at CFNI which has been so helpful (and some classes taught by you ☺️) even though it was a decade ago!! Lots to refresh on!
