SSCM Level 1 – Kids & the Bible

More than ever before, it is crucial that we put a new emphasis on learning the Word of God. The Psalmist said, “I will hide his Word in my heart that I might not sin against God.” This is a season in the earth where God’s word is being denigrated, belittled, and nearly forgotten. We have new emerging generations of children who barely know the basic Bible stories, much less memorized important scriptures. We need to do what we can to bring attention to the Scriptures in every children’s service and our homes.

Above everything else, a knowledge of God’s Word is what we as Christians, base our faith on. Without it, our Christianity is just made up of our own opinions. Our kids need more than a basic familiarity with Bible stories. They must be trained to love to read the Bible outside of the church, at home, as a part of their lifestyles.
