God, Are You a Ninja?
Are your children confused about God? Do they know more about Ninja’s than they do about the creator of the universe? Explaining an invisible God does not have to be difficult. We learn from the Bible that there is a natural world that we can see with our eyes, and a supernatural spirit world that we cannot see. God lives in the spirit world along with Jesus, angels, demons and the devil, and people whose bodies have died but their spirits live forever. There are no such things as ninjas—invisible or otherwise.
The Bible tells us God is a spirit, and they that worship him worship him in spirit and in truth. People also have spirits because we were made in the image of God. We are just like God—spirit, soul, and body. When our bodies die, our spirits go on to live with God eternally assuming we have made Jesus our Lord and Savior.
But there’s one big wonderful thing that’s different between angels, people’s eternal spirits, demons and the devil who all live in the supernatural spirit world. They all can only be in one place at one time and even though they are invisible to our natural eyes. But God is so big he is everywhere at once. That’s why his spirit can be in our hearts here in America and be in the hearts of people in Africa, China, or Australia all at the same time. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere at once. God is amazing!
